This Thursday August 11th @ 7:00 pm The Roane County Amateur Radio Club will hold it’s monthly meeting at The Roane County Rescue Squad building 4 miles South of Kingston on Hwy 58. Once you cross the river bridge at Southwest Point going South on Hwy 58, go about 4 miles. You will see a small green “Rescue Squad” sign on the right. Turn there and go to the top of the hill. Do not block the garage doors on the right side of the building because the ambulance service dispatches out of there and needs access.
We hope to have Bill Radice, K4OWR – co-president of the Tennessee Contest Group there to give us a talk on DX Contesting. I am sure we have a few members interested in that, so this could be interesting. We also need to talk about officers for 2017!. We have not had a change out of officers in 4 years and I know a couple would hope that someone will step up to run. If you want to see RCARC succeed and make a difference c onsider being a candidate for office next year. Qualifications for candidacy are in the club Bylaws located on the www.ke4rx.org website.
We look forward to seeing everyone there. Bring a friend and introduce them to amateur radio!
