The RCARC Club Logo Embroidered patches approved by the club for purchase in January are in. These are nice high quality iron on or sew on patches to put on your favorite hat or shirt / jacket. I believe they are $4 each or 3 / $10 which is the best deal. Phil KE4LSH found a great supplier that saved us some on the cost. These were expected to be more. They will be available at club meetings and other functions, or contact Phil KE4LSH for more information. He is listed to the right under “Contact”
Sorry for the late notice, but we were by the United Way office, locked up tight, no key or access, and the road conditions after dark will be at best unpredictable. Not worth anyone having an accident or taking any risks. 73 everyone, see you on the nets or next month meeting March 13. Phil KE4LSH

I just need to pass on we lost a great friend and leader this past
Friday. Charles R. Solomon K4CRS passed away suddenly and will be
sorely missed. Even though he moved to Pulaski, TN. a few years ago to
be closer to his family and children, Charlie still kept in contact
with many folks here in Roane County. Charlie was the former President
of The Roane County Amateur Radio Club for a couple of years and was
also the Roane County ARES EC for a while as well. If anyone needed
help with Ham Radio, Charlie was always willing to lend a hand.
Charlie was also instrumental in getting the local WKTS FM 90.1 radio
Station on the air and worked his whole life as a broadcast engineer
with other local radio stations. Charlie was also very active in his
church and was a Christian. He was a very pleasant person to know and
to call a friend. He will be missed by all those who knew him. I ask
everyone to keep Charlie and Janie and their family in their prayers
during this time of loss.
