CQ Field Day!

June 22-23, 2019

The Roane County Amateur Radio Club will again be participating in the annual ARRL Field Day event. We will be located at Fort Southwest Point park located South Kentucky Street in Kingston, TN.

Setup for our station will begin around 10am on Saturday with on-the-air operations beginning at 2pm. We’ll operate for approximately 24 hours before ending at 2pm on Sunday.

Talk-in on the 147.015 MHz + (110.9 pl) KE4RX repeater.

APRS Presentation from Kenny Witt KC4OJS

Kenny Witt, KC4OJS provided a lecture and discussion regarding APRS, it’s uses for day to day operations and emcomm applications. Kenny also discussed with the group his time in Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria while deployed as a communications unit with the Southern Baptist Disaster Relief.

Please join us at our monthly meetings on the second Thursday of every month at the Rockwood Community Center, 7 pm.

Also join us for the weekly net on the 147.120 repeater (147.015 after antenna repairs are made) every Monday at 8 pm.
