Message from the Club President
The Roane County Amateur Radio Club elected new officers for 2009. They are:
President: Lou Devillon, K4ZRP
Vice President: Cliff Segar, KD4GT
Secretary: Jim White, K4APY
Treasurer: Kati Segar
A big “thank you” to the officers who served the club in 2008:
Cliff Segar, KD4GT, Keith Dalton, WV4G, Jim Dalton, K4FPG and Kati Segar.
As club president for 2009 it’s important that I know what our members
expect out of our organization. I’ve always believed that ham radio should
be fun and club meetings especially should be an enjoyable evening of
socializing with fellow hams.
Your officers are dedicated to moving our club forward in 2009 but we’re
only one part of that effort. Our club and its activities are dependent on
you, the club member. Your input and your participation will ensure that
the Roane County Amateur Radio Club will continue to grow and prosper in
future years. The one simple step that each of us can do to help make this
happen is to attend the club’s monthly meetings.
To assist your club officers in making the RCARC an organization that fully
meets the expectations of its members, please read the very brief set of
questions below and e-mail me your suggestions to k4zrp@hughes.net.
Thanks and I look forward to seeing you at the upcoming RCARC meeting on
January 8th. We will be having a drawing at that meeting for a new ARRL
Antenna Handbook.
Lou, K4ZRP
